Hi everyone,
No class tomorrow — I’m in sweltering Texas for a work conference. If I don’t melt, I will see you in one week where we will resume our weekly Tuesday morning classes.
However, I’m going to mix things up for the next 5 weeks, and offer intro to Pranayama and Yoga Sangraha every week from next Tuesday, June 24, through July 22. These sessions will build sequentially upon one another, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to join us for all 5 weeks. These classes should build a strong foundation for you to be able to practice some simple yoga and breathwork on your own, or continue coming to Zoom classes with me.
Week 1: Resonance breathing, laying down asanas, and pranayama
Week 2: Resonance breathing, laying down asanas, and 5 directions of the spine
Week 3: Laying down asanas, 5 directions of the spine, and standing asanas
Week 4: Everything from week 3, plus some seated asanas
Week 5: Full Sangraha practice up through seated asanas, plus Dands and other types of Sun Salutations
If you have attended in the past, please don’t let this format deter you — we will be slowing things down slightly, but still focusing on the same group of breathwork practices and asanas that we have been doing already. It would be a great way to focus in on the individual postures a bit more and really get a sense of how they feel in the body.
